Patricia "Pat" Irene Allen, a longtime Stillwater resident, passed away on Thursday, March 19, 2015 at the Westhaven Nursing Home in Stillwater at the age of 85. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, March 24, 2015 at the Palmer Marler Funeral Home Chapel in Stillwater. Pastor Paul Weece will officiate. Interment will follow at Rose Lawn Cemetery in Mulhall, OK. Arrangements are entrusted to Palmer Marler Funeral Home, Stillwater, OK.
Patricia was born on March 30, 1929 in Guthrie, OK to the late Clarence and Edith (Blakesley) Hyde. Pat grew up and attended school in Mulhall. She married the love of her life, Tom Allen, on December 20, 1947 at the First United Methodist Church in Guthrie, Oklahoma. She was an excellent cook, hosting many family holiday meals. Pat was also a bingo enthusiast. She loved spending time with her family, and her best friends, Marvenell, Leona, and C.C. She was a very strong and focused lady. The highlight of Pat’s life was her grandchildren and great grandchildren, she loved watching them grow up.
Pat is survived by her children Billy Don Allen and wife, Diane of Glencoe, Patta Slusser and husband, Marc of Stillwater, Toma Gaches and husband, Danny of Stillwater, daughters-in-law Diane Allen and Marlene Allen, grandchildren Tom, Terry, Chase, Cord, Kama, Heather, Matthew, Dustin, Lindsey, Kelsey, Ashlynn, Kaci, Brittni, and Tiffani, and seventeen great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 27 loving years, Tom Allen, her parents, sons Terry Allen and Rex Allen, sister, Blanche Miller, brother, Clarence “Junior” Hyde Jr.
