Patricia Ruth Marion, age 80 of Wichita, Kansas passed away Monday, March 14, 2016 at the Catholic Care Center in Wichita, KS. She was born on the family farm in Lovell, OK on February 9, 1936 to James Wood and Ruth (Newbold) Lovell.
Patricia married George C. Marion, Sr. on May 1, 1952. She received her Registered Nursing Degree from St. Joseph in Wichita, KS and Bachelor of Science from East Central University in Ada, OK. She retired from Wesley Medical Center in Wichita, KS. Patricia attended All Saints Catholic Church in Wichita. Her family was the center of her life. She had a love of music, all music, especially show tunes. Patricia enjoyed gardening and reading.
Survivors include her 6 Children, Peggy Sowell and husband Mike of Wichita, KS, Sandy Marion of Atlanta, KS, Connie Tillery of Ada, OK, George Marion, Jr. and wife Denise of Wichita, KS, Jane Marion of Wichita, KS, and Mark Marion of Topeka, KS. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents, 1 brother Dr. James Lovell and husband George C. Marion,
Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, March 18, 2016 at the First Christian Church in Crescent, OK with Pastor Keith Gordon officiating burial will follow at Oakview Cemetery in Lovell, OK. Services are under the direction of Hayes Funeral Home in Guthrie, OK.
A Rosary will be held at the Catholic Care Center Chapel in Wichita, KS on Thursday at 7:00 PM.
