Ethel Wright
(January 20, 1919 - May 10, 2007)
Ethel "Freida" Wright died May 10, 2007 in Edmond, Oklahoma at the age of 88 years, 3 months and 20 days. She was born January 20, 1919 in Goltry, Oklahoma to John and Elvina (Boese) Johnson. She married Loyd Wright on May 23, 1938 in Amarillo, Texas, he preceded her in death in 1994.
Survivors include three daughters Dorothy Varvil of Edmond, Norma Wright of Edmond, Karen Kay Roberts of Chickasa; two sons, Jerry Wright of Crescent and J.R. Wright of Crescent; three sisters, Vernis Wedel of Garber, Betty Batson of Enid, Juanita Siegmann of Hennessey; one brother, Johnny Hoffman; 19 Grandchildren, 50 Great Grandchildren and 15 Great Great Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Loyd, one brother, one sister, two grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 2:30 P.M. Saturday, May 12, 2007 at the First Baptist Church with Pastor L.D. Choate and Rev. Bryan Haynes officiating, burial will follow in the Oakland - Knowles Cemetery.
