Darryl Clay Stuckwish
(July 12, 1942 - July 3, 2010)
Darryl Clay Stuckwish was born on July 12, 1942, in Oklahoma City, Ok. to Clay and Viola Stuckwish. He passed away on July 3, 2010 in Oklahoma City, Ok. By living his life dedicated to God, he was a great example to family and friends. He attended school in Edmond until his Sophomore year when the family moved to Crescent, Ok. He graduated from Crescent High School in 1960. He attended Central State College and Oklahoma Christian College in Edmond, Ok, and Oklahoma State University in Stillwater, Ok. Darryl married Bonnie Lou Brock on September 7, 1962 in Oklahoma City, Ok. They resided in Crescent, Fairview, Okeene, and Davis, Ok. Early years Darryl worked for grocery stores, Stanfill-Brock Chevrolet, and Wonder Bread, before buying Okeene IGA grocery in Okeene, Ok. Darryl’s dream was to live in Pagosa Springs, Colorado where they moved in 1994. Darryl worked for the Archuleta School District driving a school bus, for 7 years and worked for Wilderness Journeys where he enjoyed meeting tourist from all over who visited Pagosa Springs. Darryl loved spending time with family and friends especially when they visited them in Pagosa Springs, CO. Survivors include his wife, Bonnie of Oklahoma City, a son, Jeffrey Wade Stuckwish and wife Linda of Pagosa Springs, CO, and a daughter Stacey Jo Stuckwish of Oklahoma City. Three grandsons and two granddaughters. Jarrod Scott Tugman and Andrea of Enid, Ok. Joshua Wade Stuckwish of Oklahoma City, OK. Sarah Noelle Stuckwish of Oklahoma City, OK. Joey and Amber Onello of Pagosa Springs, CO. One great grandson, Aedyn Scott Tugman of Enid, Ok. He was preceded in death by his parents, Clay and Viola Stuckwish, one sister, Joyce and husband Maurice Hopkins, one brother Wesley Stuckwish, and one nephew Mike Hopkins. Services will be held on Wednesday, July 7, 2010 at 10:00 am at the First Christian Church in Crescent, OK. Services are under the direction of Abernathy Aaron Funeral Home in Crescent, Oklahoma
