Phillip Leroy Cochran
(October 6, 1962 - March 18, 2011)
Phillip Leroy Cochran was born October 6, 1962 in Portsmouth, Virginia to Max Donald and Jewell Marceile (Hale) Cochran. He passed away on March 18, 2011 in Oklahoma City, OK at the age of 48 years.
Phil never knew a stranger and had a huge heart and was full of life. He was a sweet, gentle, kind man just like a teddy bear. He always thought of others before himself and believed in family. Phil enjoyed OU sports, fishing, golfing, softball, and bowling. He looked forward to moving to Russellville, Arkansas and fishing on Lake Dardenelle. Family members describe him as stubborn, but a great debater. He could take what you say and turn it to make you believe something else. He had a saying…. Telephone, Telegram, Tell-a-Phil.
Phil worked for MidFirst Bank as a Senior Accounts Officer from November 13, 1995 until the time of his death.
Survivors include his wife Sheila of the home; three sons, Keith Smith of Oklahoma City, Brandon Smith of Oklahoma City, and Adam Cochran of Carney, OK; one sister, Diane Waldridge of Crescent; three brothers, Mike of Alice, TX, Greg of Los Lunas, NM, and Kevin Cochran of Yukon, OK. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Memorial services will be 2:00 P.M. March 25, 2011 at Crescent Assembly of God Church with Pastor Mark LeMarr officiating. Services are under the direction of Abernathy Aaron Funeral Home in Crescent.
