Nick Channel
(April 10, 1982 - October 10, 2010)

Nickolas Scott Channel was born April 10, 1982 in Guthrie, Oklahoma to Mark Channel and Kelly (Tubbs) Byers. He passed away on October 10, 2010 in Guthrie, Oklahoma at the age of 28 years.

Nick worked for Crescent Pipe and Supply for the past five years. He was also a volunteer firefighter for the Crescent Fire Department. Nick had such love and passion for his fellow fireman and was honored to be one of them. Nick loved life and lived it to the fullest. He was always having fun with his friends. Whether it was duck hunting, riding horses, mud runs, watching OU football or just hanging out with his friends. If you were with Nick you were having a good time. He was such a thoughtful son that he would walk down to the Little Red Schoolhouse to see his Mom everyday. He loved his family and his friends with everything he had inside him. Nick was so many things to so many people, but all can agree that Nick was easy to love. His smile and contagious laugh will live forever in our hearts. Nick will be truly missed by so many.

Survivors include his parents, Kelly Byers and husband Steve and Mark Channel; grandparents, Richard and Shirley Tubbs and Gracie Channel; brother, Nathan Channel and nieces, Faith and Nicole Byers all of Crescent. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Willis Channel.

Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, October 13, 2010 at the First Baptist Church in Crescent with Brother John Lovett and Pastor Mark LeMarr officiating. Burial will follow in the Oakland-Knowles Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Abernathy Aaron Funeral Home in Crescent. In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to the Crescent Fire Department .
