Royce Loretta Buxton, 78, of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma died September 14, 2003. Funeral services under the direction of Abernathy Funeral Home will be Wednesday, September 17, 2003 at Abernathy Funeral Chapel at 2:00 p.m. Interment is in Oakland, Knowles Cemetery with Pastor Mark LeMarr.
Royce was born on February 9, 1925 in Tyrone, Oklahoma to Roy Lay and Lela (Wadley) Lay. Royce was married to Raymond Buxton in 1941, he proceded her in death on January 1990.
Royce is survived by 3 daughters; Carolyn Landess and husband Stan, Guymon, OK; Brenda Buxton, Midwest City, OK; Linda Buxton, Oklahoma City, OK; 2 sons; Carroll Buxton and wife Linda, Oklahoma City, OK; Raymond Buxton and wife Dianna, Stillwater, OK; 3 sisters; Emogene Selby, Guymon, OK; Dorothy Henderson, Guymon, OK; Barbara Lay, Guymon, OK; a sister-in-law Jimmie O'Neal, Beaumont, TX; 9 grandchildren; and 6 great-grandchildren.
Royce is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Raymond and by one brother.
Services under the direction of Abernathy Funeral Home of Crescent.
