Oliver Smart
(February 28, 1902 - March 8, 2008)

Oliver "Bud" Smart, Jr. died March 8, 2008 in Crescent, Oklahoma at the age of 106 years and 9 days. He was born February 28, 1902 in Weleetka, Oklahoma.

Bud moved to Crescent in 1919 from Wynnewood. Bud worked as a meat processor for many years. He loved fishing, hunting, softball and baseball. He played softball until he was 93 and killed his last deer at age 103.

Survivors include, three cousins, Richard Smart, John Smart and Vernon Smart, Jr. all of Wichita, Kansas; one niece, Magalene Hill of Oklahoma City and a host of friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, one son and one grandson.

Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M. Saturday, March 15, 2008 at the Light House Church of God in Christ with Rev. Edwin House officiating, burial will follow in the Oakgrove Cemetery in Crescent. Services under the direction of Abernathy Aaron Funeral Home in Crescent. Friends may sign the online guess book at abernathyaaron.com.
