Edward Charles Hammack, 68, of Coyle, Oklahoma, died on December 28, 2017, at Integris Southwest Medical Center, surrounded by family. A visitation will be held Monday, January 1, 2018 with family greeting friends from 4:00pm to 6:30pm. Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 2, 2018, at the Coyle Assembly of God Church in Coyle. The Reverend Tommie Rhamy will officiate. Interment will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery, in Coyle. Strode Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Edward was born to Jr and Phyllis Hammack on May 14, 1949, in Muskogee, OK He took the hand of Betty Lou Rhamy in marriage on April 12, 1968, in Stillwater, OK. He attended John Marshall School in Britton, OK and Coyle High School, after graduation he went on to join the U. S. Army and became a Staff Sergeant. After the military he opened and worked in his own mechanic shop. Eddie was a member of the Coyle Assembly of God and a part of the VFW in Stillwater, Post #2027. He enjoyed wood working and Bluegrass festivals but, most of all he enjoyed spending time with family and grandkids.

He is preceded in death by his daughter, Rebecca; both parents; one sister, Peggy Payton; one brother-in-law, Leroy Payton; one sister-in-law, Linda Hammack; one niece Brittany Hammack.

He is survived by his wife, Betty Hammack; two sons, Dewayne Hammack, wife, Mary; grandkids Elizabeth Ann and Isabella Faith, of Perkins, OK., Billy Hammack, wife, Delania; grandkids Rebecca Marie, Rhamy Lane, Benjamin Charles and Jaxon Robert of Katy, TX; one brother, Otis Hammack of Coyle, OK along with many nieces, nephews and cousins.
