Mary M. Ausbie
(May 22, 1926 - January 2, 2009)
Mary M. Ausbie was born May 22, 1926 in Hugo, Oklahoma to Robert and Lucille (Littleton) McGee. Mary passed way on January 2, 2009 in Crescent, Oklahoma at the age of 82 years.
Mary graduated from Douglas High School in Crescent. She was a domestic worker and also worked at the Crescent Newspaper, Oklahoma Furniture Factory and Guthrie Job Corps. She was a faithful member of the Mt. Vernon Methodist Church of Crescent and a long time member of the Helping Hands Club of Crescent.
Survivors include, one son, Terry Henley of Crescent; two sisters, Ernestine Davis of California and Treva Harrison of Oklahoma City; five grandchildren, Tonya, Terry, Tamara, Tiffany, and Timothy; seven great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Fred Ausbie; three sisters, T. Bertha Williams, Kanzella Maybon, and Marie Ausbie and by one brother, Leroy McGee.
Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Thursday, January 8, 2009 at the Lighthouse Church of God in Christ with Rev. Edwin House and Pastor Linda Lusnia officiating. Burial will follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Abernathy Aaron Funeral Home in Crescent. Family and friends may sign the online guest book at abernathyaaron.com.
