Funeral services for Blanche Lee Wehr, 77, of Guthrie will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, March 27, 2003 at Bible Baptist Church in Guthrie with the Rev. Robby Robbins officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Gardens Memorial Park in Guthrie under the direction of Davis Funeral Home.
Blanche was born Jan. 13, 1926 in Cashion to George Washington and Della Mae (Durham) Ruess. She died March 24, 2003 at Colonial Estates in Guthrie.
Blanche lived in Guthrie all her life. She worked at Oklahoma Funiture Factory and later retired from the Ash Street Place retirement center.
She was a member of Bible Baptist Church and her favorite pastime was playing dominoes.
She married Cecil William Wehr on Sept. 11, 1943 at the First Christian Church in Guthrie. He preceded her in death Feb. 4, 1993.
She was also preceded in death by her father and mother, one daughter, Katie Stegal; four brothers, Glenn Ruess, Harry Ruess, Lester Ruess and Wilburn Ruess; and four sisters, Eve Swift, Bertha Reynolds, Ruth Brownlee and Opal Havener.
Survivors include six sons, Cecil Wayne Wehr and wife Joyce, Harold Wehr and wife Sharon, Dean Wehr and wife Teresa, Ron L. Wehr and wife Kathy, Dennis Wehr and wife Karla and Kenny Wehr and wife Julie, all of Guthrie; four daughters, Darlene Decker and husband Michael of Guthrie, Evan Graham and husband Billy of Mulhall, Sandra Minnich and husband John of Guthrie and Pennie Wehr and Woody Hand of Guthrie; 17 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Friends and relatives may call at the funeral home Tuesday from 5 to 8 p.m., Wednesday from 8:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Thursday from 8:30 to 11 a.m.
