Ledel Jeffery Patton

Ledel J. Patton, Sr., 75, of Guthrie, OK went home to be with the Lord on April 20, 2010. Ledel was born on August 18, 1934 and was the son of John and Robbie Patton. He was the 2nd youngest of five children born to this union.
He was a veteran of the United States Army where he proudly served his country. He worked over 30 years at the Oklahoma Manufacturing Company where he was a manager of the Shipping Department. He later worked at Logan Hospital and Medical Center as the Environmental Service Manager until his health began to fail.
Ledel met and married the love of his life, Serita House, February 15, 1985. Ledel was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters Johnnie (Patton) Starr and Doris (Patton) Copeland and one brother Wesley R. Patton.
He is survived by his wife Serita of the home; his children Ledel J. Patton Jr. (Carmen) of Land O' Lakes, FL, Demetra Oakes (Phillip) of Oklahoma City, OK and Savannah Patton of Guthrie, OK; one brother Claude Patton (Maple) of Gardenia, CA; two granddaughters Alexandra and Gabrielle Oakes; one god-son Karsceal M. Turner; two god-daughters Faith Smith and Brandi Jordan and a host of other loved family and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, April 26, 2010 at Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church. Interment will follow at Memory Gardens Memorial Park Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Smith-Gallo Funeral Home, Guthrie.
Visitation will be held Sunday, 2:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.
