Funeral services for Crisenzia Ognibene, 95, of Guthrie will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, June 6, 2003 at Davis Funeral Chapel in Guthrie with Brother Michael Jerry officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Garden Memorial Park in Guthrie under the direction of Davis Funeral Home.
Ognibene was born July 21, 1907 in Montavago, Sicily, Italy to Stefana and Maria (Azzara) Giamatta. She died Saturday, May 31, 2003 at Logan Hospital and Medical Center in Guthrie.
Crisenzia had lived in Guthrie for the past 17 years. She was a housewife and homemaker and attended the Kingdom Hall Jehovah's Witnesses church. She loved to knit and crochet.
She married Guiseppe Ognibene on Octobet 26, 1925 in Montevago, Sicily, Italy. He preceded her in death May 20, 1986.
She was also preceded in death by her parents, two sons, an infant son and Leonardo Bavetta; one sister, Rose Armato; and one brother, Calogero Giamatta.
Survivors include three children, Calogero (Charles) Ognibene of Guthrie, Stefano Ognibene and Leonardo Ognibene, both of Howard Beach, N. Y.; one sister, Rosalia Saladino of Northridge, Calif.; 13 grandchildren, nemerous great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild and numerous nieces and nephews.
Friends and relatives may call at the funeral home Thursday from 8:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Friday from 8 to 10 a.m.
