Funeral services for Robert Newell "Bob" Miller, 76, of Crescent will be held at 2 p.m.Thursday, April 3, 2003 at the Abernathy Funeral Chapel in Crescent. Interment will follow in Memory Gardens Memorial Park in Guthrie under the direciton of Abernathy Funeral Home.
Miller was born Sept. 2, 1926 in Guthrie to Newell Casper Miller and Martha Si-Opha Ard. He died March 31, 2003 in Crescent.
Bob enjoyed farming and loved his cattle. He was a member of the Oklahoma Cattlemen's Association. He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U. S. Army.
He married Marie McCandless on June 22, 1962 in Guthrie.
Survivors include his wife, Marie, of the home; three daughters, Pam Turner of Boonton, N. J., Ramona Mays of Guthrie and Pattsi Thornbrue of Guthrie; four sisters, Martha Atchley of Oklahoma City, Helen Delling of Midwest City, Rita Roller of Wewoka and Betty Draper of Edmond; one cousin, Herald Miller of Guthrie; four grandchidlren and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
