Sharon Kay Majors, 66, passed away August 2, 2009. She was born December 29, 1942 in Davenport, IA to Homer and Clara Greenwell.
She married Raymond D. Majors on November 18, 1960 and resided in Guthrie, OK. Sharon loved being by Raymond’s side from riding motorcycles, horses, camping, fishing, and traveling with him when he drove semis. Sharon had a beautiful, loving outlook on life, living for her husband, children, and grandchildren, not forgetting her furry children (dogs, birds, and horses).
She is survived by her husband of 49 years; three children DeWayne Majors and wife Cynthia, Sandra Ellis and husband Brett, and Dale Majors and wife Julie; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and many friends. She will be greatly missed by all.
Sharon is preceded in death by her parents and brother Jackie Greenwell.
Graveside funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, August 6, 2009 at Memory Gardens Memorial Park Cemetery, Guthrie with Chaplain Gene Owen of Companion Hospice officiating. Services are under the direction of Smith-Gallo Funeral Home, Guthrie. Visitation will be held Wednesday, 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to American Asthma Foundation, Four Embarcadero Center, Suite 3150, San Francisco, CA 94111-4113.
