Katresa Jo Ann (Smith) Montejano was born July 22, 1983 in Edmond, Oklahoma to Douglas and Pamela Smith. Katresa passed away September 19, 2021 in Guthrie, Oklahoma.

Katresa graduated from Guthrie High school in 2002. She met her husband Joel in 2003 and moved to Phoenix, Arizona where she worked in child care. She married Joel Montejano on May 18, 2005 in Las Vegas, Nevada. Together they moved back to Oklahoma where she raised her daughter. She loved taking care of her family and would have helped every stray animal she came across if she could have. She taught herself how to crochet and she loved to make anything and everything she came across. She also loved to read. If she wasn't with her family, she had a book in her hand. She loved baking old family recipes that were her favorite but loved trying new recipes too.

She is survived by her husband of 16 years, Joel F. Montejano and daughter Lily both of Guthrie, her brother Douglas Scott Smith and wife Susan and their son Baden, and her mother Pamela J. Smith all of Guthrie. She was preceded in death by her father Douglas K. Smith of Guthrie, brother Curtis Kent Smith of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, maternal grandparents Norval and Dusa Gooch and her paternal grandparents Jack and Imogene Smith all of Guthrie.

Funeral services will be held at First Southern Baptist Church on Saturday, September 25, 2021 at 202 E. Noble Ave., Guthrie, Oklahoma 73044 at 10 am. Interment will follow at Lawrie Cemetery, Guthrie. There will not be a visitation.

Services are under the direction of Smith-Gallo Funeral Home, 220 North 1st Street, Guthrie Oklahoma 73044.
