Funeral services for James L. Vincent, 68, 1913 E. Eucalyptus, will be at 10 AM Wednesday in the Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Joe Wilson, pastor of the Oakwood Christian Church, officiating.
Burial will be at 1 PM Wednesday in the Harmony Cemetery with Dr. John Dowdy officiating. The casket will be open at the funeral home until service time Wednesday.
Vincent died Monday afternoon in a local hospital after a period of ill health. He was born June 12, 1913, in Guthrie, the son of Bill and Lowis Vincent. He grew up in Guthrie and was married there June 12, 1938, to Elvie Taylor.
Vincent was a veteran of World War I I, serving in the United States Army. He had been an Enid resident for the past 29 years and had worked for Midwestern Life Insurance until his retirement.
Vincent was a member of the First Baptist Church of Guthrie. He was a 32nd Degree Mason and was a member of the Garfield Lodge No. 501, AF & AM. He was a past member of the Enid Shrine Club.
Survivors are his wife Elvie of the home and a daughter, Mrs. Max (Penny) Wilson of Enid. He was preceded in death by his parents.
