Funeral services for Matthew Wayne Smith, were held at 10 a.m. Tuesday June 19, 1973 at Smith Memorial Chapel. The Rev. Jimmy Ingram of the Noble Avenue Baptist Church officiated and burial followed in Harmony cemetery, west of Guthrie, directed by Smith Funeral Home.
The baby was born June 9, 1973 in Logan County Memorial Hospital to Mr. and Mrs. Curtis Smith, 208 N. Broad, and died June 16, 1973 in University Hospital, Oklahoma City.
He is also survived by his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Jack Smith and Mrs. Frances Wilson, all of Guthrie; the great-grandfather, Walter Gordon, Missouri, and the godparents, Mr. and Mrs. Jim Wright, Guthrie.
