The people around town were struck with surprise Sunday about noon, when the news came that Miss Florence Powell of Oklahoma City had passed away.
She lived here for several years with her aunt and family,
Dr. and Mrs. J.A. Cox. She was at present employed in the Cushing school under Superintendent Elsberry.
The family has the sympathy of the people here. She was laid to rest at the Evansville cemetery, Thursday.
