Geraldine Dee Smith
(September 2, 1951 - August 2, 2008)
Geraldine "Jeri" Dee Smith passed away Saturday, August 2, 2008 in a car accident. She was born September 2, 1951 to James Robert and Lillie Mae (Fuller) Goodman in Oklahoma City. She married Merle Dean Smith in Oklahoma City and had two daughters to this union. Jeri spent her life as a devoted homemaker and mother, and as many will remember, she acted as a mother to them also. She was a cherished friend to so many.
Jeri is survived by two daughters, Tammy Dee Lee and husband Greg and Tara Smith both of Crescent; two grandsons, Merle Tucker Stover and Tanner Dale Johnson; one granddaughter, Paige Connery Johnson, and by one great granddaughter, Alexandria Macaelyn Ward; three brothers, John William Moore, Bobby D. Moore and wife Jan, and Terry G. Moore, all of Oklahoma City; one sister, Pamela Sue Gilley and husband Bobby Sr. of Gore, OK; special girls, Holly Slaughter of Oklahoma City and Teicole Johnson of Crescent, and special companion Charles Hadley of Guthrie; numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
Jeri was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and by one sister Diane Goodman.
Services will be held 10:00 A.M. Thursday, August 7, 2008 at the First Baptist Church of Crescent with Mike Channel officiating. Interment will follow at the Crescent Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Abernathy Aaron Funeral Home in Crescent. Family and friends may sign the online guest book at abernathyaaron.com.
