Spencer O. Shore
(September 30, 1946 - October 12, 2011)

Spencer Owen Shore was born September 30, 1946 in Crescent, Oklahoma to Neil and Velma (Brock) Shore. He passed away October 12, 2011 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma at the age of 65 years.

Spencer was born and raised in Crescent and graduated from Crescent High School in 1964. He then enlisted in the United States Air Force. While in the service he married Elsie Roten in 1967 at the First Baptist Parsonage in Crescent. He was Honorably Discharged from the service in 1970. Spencer then took a job with Montgomery Elevator Company and worked there until his retirement, which was on September 30, 2004, his 58th birthday. He enjoyed wood working and fishing.

Survivors include his wife Elsie of the home; one daughter, Kristin Shore of Oklahoma City; one sister, Lynneil Murray and husband Bob of Crescent; one nephew, Stephen Murray of Crescent; one niece, Dana Hornbeck and husband John of Crescent and by a special nephew, Dawson Hornbeck. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral services will be 10:30 A.M. Saturday, October 15, 2011 at the Crosspointe Church in Crescent with Pastor Mark LeMarr officiating. Burial will follow in the Crescent Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Abernathy Aaron Funeral Home in Crescent. In lieu of flowers the family as requested memorials be made to the Crosspointe Church Youth Building Fund.
