Mary "Christina" Oswald was born on November 14, 1917, to Millie and John Lambdin, in Medford, OK and moved to Crescent at a very young age. She passed away on May 16th, 2010, in Crescent, OK at the age of 92 years. Christina was raised on the Lambdin farm, one of nine children, the youngest child and only girl. She married Cecil Owen Oswald on January 6, 1940 in Guthrie, OK and went on to become a homemaker. She and Cecil had two children Marilyn Gwen and Cecil Edward and were married 53 years until his death in July 1993. Christina lived her entire life in Crescent, OK on the Lambdin and Oswald farms. She loved tending to her flower beds, feeding the birds and squirrels, and being a farm wife. She and Cecil’s greatest enjoyment were their six grandchildren. At any given time a few or all the grandchildren were at the farm. They enjoyed taking them on “Sunday drives” to Roman Nose Park, Turner Falls, or Red Rock Canyon. She and Cecil competed in bowling leagues and tournaments, participated in dominoes and pitch parties for many years. Together they enjoyed following their grandchildren’s school and sporting activities.
Christina is survived by her daughter Marilyn Allen, six grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, and two great, great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband Cecil Owen Oswald, and son Cecil Edward Oswald.
