Ila Pearl Fenton
(January 17, 1930 - July 31, 2012)
Ila Pearl Fenton was born January 17, 1930 in Valera, Texas to Aubrey and Virginia (Toliver) Feeler. She passed away July 31, 2012 in Crescent, Oklahoma at the age of 82 years.
Pearl grew up in west Texas, where she attended Mozelle High School. She excelled in basketball and was a member of the Marching Band. After graduation she attended beauty school in San Angelo, Texas. In 1962 she moved to Oklahoma and was a hair dresser at Newman’s in Enid for many years. Pearl then bought her own shop in Helena, where she worked until moving to Longdale. She continued to work for another 20 years before her retirement. She enjoyed working in her flower beds, gardening, and sewing.
Survivors include, two daughters, Lisa Pruitt of Longdale, OK and Brenda Powell of Helena, OK; two sons, Eddy Fenton and wife Diane of Crescent and Frankie Fenton and wife Annabelle of Piersall, TX; three sisters, Nita Holtz, Wileen Roberts, and Hazel Avery; one brother, Edward Feeler; fourteen grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Leo Feeler.
Funeral services will be 10:00 A.M. Friday, August 3, 2012 at the Abernathy Aaron Funeral Chapel with Rev. Alan Nagel officiating. Burial will follow in the Crescent Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Abernathy Aaron Funeral Home in Crescent.
