Funeral services for C. M. Acton, 82, will be at 10 AM Monday at the First Christian Church, Crescent. The Rev. Randy Beeman will officiate. Burial will follow in Crescent Cemetery under the direction of Abernathy Funeral Home, Crescent.
The casket will be closed at the service. Friends may call at the funeral home until 8 PM today.
He was born November 30, 1908, at Marshall to Henry and Rettie (Van Winkle) Acton. He died Friday at Mercy Health Center in Oklahoma City.
Of February 8, 1930, he married Fern V. Morrissett in Oklahoma City.
He was an active farmer and stockman. He was a lifelong Logan County resident.
He was a member of the First Christian Church of Crescent.
Surviving are his wife, Fern of the home; a son, Max of Crescent; a sister, Margaret McConnel of Crescent; three grandchildren; and three great – grandchildren.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother.
Memorials may be made through the funeral home to the First Christian Church of Crescent and the Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation, Cancer Division.
