Funeral services for Marvin Williams, 75, of Clearbrook, Minn., were held at 11 a.m. Friday, April 25, 2003 a the Faith Hill Assembly of God Church in Bagley, Minn. with the Rev. David Fox officiating. Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 30, 2003 at Coyle Cemetery in Coyle with Pastor Jay Heffron officiating. Services are under the direction of Davis Funeral Home in Guthrie.
Williams was born Nov. 7, 1927 in Cleburne, Texas to George and Opal (Prince) Williams. He died Tuesday, April 22, 2003 at Clearwater County Memorial Hospital in Bagley, Minn.
He attended school in Cleburne and worked as a supervisor and engineer for Prudential overall Supply Company in southern California for 26 years.
He married Ruth Long on Sept. 1, 1964 in New Hall, Calif. They moved to northern Minnesota in April 1975, where they farmed beef cattle. He started trucking in the late 1980's and retired in 2000. They wintered in Buffalo, Okla. and spent summers in Clearbrook, Minn. He enjoyed farming and trucking and loved to watch old-time Western movies.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, George.
