Maye Thorpe Vaughn

Maye Vaughn, passed away on Tuesday, April 18, 2023, in Stroud, Oklahoma, at the age of 93. Maye was born on September 5, 1929 in Texas. She was the daughter of Charlie Waco Vernon and Ida Mae (Wendland) Thorpe. She attended Salina High School in Salina, Oklahoma. Maye served for many years with Civil Service.

Maye was a skilled seamstress, she enjoyed knitting, crotchet and sewing. She also loved to tend to her garden. Mayes greatest passion was her family and she was blessed with many grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great-grandchildren and great, great, great grandchildren.

Maye was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Eldon T. Holman; two brothers, Charles Lafaye Vernon and Billie Ray Vernon and one son, Elmer Dean Holman.

She is survived by her children, Charles T. Holman, Enamaye Wright, JoAnn Holman, Judy Sims and Karen Sue Zehner and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great great-grandchildren and great great great-grandchildren.
