Dorothy Christena (Lee) O'Brien was born June 27, 1925, in Meeker, Oklahoma, and departed this life on March 6, 2019, at the age of 93 years.
Dorothy the daughter of Thomas R. and Lena (Engel) Lee was a life-long resident of Sparks, Oklahoma.
Dorothy married Edward O'Brien Jr., August 24, 1946. She was a homemaker, and a active member of St. Michaels Catholic Church and of the Altar Society.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, Edward O'Brien Jr.; one daughter, Pamela Diane O'Brien; one son, Kenneth "Cotton" O'Brien; two grandchildren, Maria Diane Ward and Edward Storm O'Brien; five brothers, Forrest, Tom, Johnny, Fred and Wayne Lee; three sisters, Elizabeth Gallaway, Mary Judd and Catherine Lee.
Survivors include, Ed and Sonya O'Brien of Meeker, John and Vickie O'Brien of Sparks, Margaret and Tony Ward of Sparks, brother and sister-in-law, Richard and Wanda Lee of Meeker, ten grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild, other relatives and many friends.
Viewing and visitation will be held at Parks Brothers Funeral Chapel in Meeker, Oklahoma on Thursday, March 7th, 5:00PM to 8:00PM, and Friday, March 8th, 9:00AM to 8:00PM.
A wake service will be held Friday, March 8th, 4:00 PM at St. Michaels Catholic Church in Meeker. A funeral mass will be held Saturday, March 9th, 10:00 AM at St. Michaels Church with Father Long officiating. Burial will follow at White Dove Cemetery in Sparks. Arrangements are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Chandler, Oklahoma.
