Lori Lynn (Thomas) Purcell

Lori Lynn Purcell was born to Max Lee Thomas and Mary Loretta Gallaher on November 6, 1966 in Chandler, Oklahoma. Beloved as a mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, and aunt, Lori passed away peacefully on March 31, 2021 in Round Rock, Texas at the age of 54.

While career opportunities had her living in Austin, Texas for the last twenty years, Oklahoma was forever in her heart.

Although Lori had three children of her own, she was a mother figure for many more including extended family and friends. She will forever be remembered as the advocate of the less fortunate as she used her life experiences to help others. Those who knew her best understood that she asked nothing in return for her generosity. She left behind a wealth of memories for many in a short amount of time.

Lori will forever be remembered as young at heart as she was quite the prankster. She was also fearless had an affinity for new experiences. This included traveling, trying new foods, and following exciting career opportunities. Her career started working multiple part-time jobs to support her family and concluded as a Human Resources Director at a major technology company.

Lori is survived by children Dennis Purcell II and his wife Lauren, and Samantha Frush. She is also survived by mother Mary Hagar, stepfather Jerry Hagar, father Max Thomas as well as her three siblings Wayne Thomas, Michelle Shoffstall, and Mary Angela Tucker. She had four grandchildren and many beloved nieces and nephews at the time of her passing. She was preceded in death by daughter Amber Purcell.

A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, April 10, 2021, in the Lehman Funeral Home chapel with interment following at the Wellston Cemetery under the direction of Lehman Funeral Home of Wellston.
