Lynda Sue Murphy

Lynda Sue Murphy, a loving mother, sister, aunt, dog-grandma, and friend, left this Earth on April 9th, 2022, just shortly after her 60th birthday. She was born 6 lbs. 1 oz. at Benedictine Heights Hospital in Guthrie, OK on March 5th, 1962 to James Lee Murphy and Theresa Frances Carbonara.

Lynda graduated from Wellston High School in the spring of 1980 before promptly taking on a position at Tinker Airforce Base where she impressively continued to work for over 39 years ultimately fulfilling the roll of Production Controller Scheduler. She was later married and gave birth to her beautiful daughter, Rebecca Lynn, who she loved so very much. Lynda had recently retired from Tinker in December 2020 and was thoroughly enjoying her well-deserved time off.

Lynda is survived by her only child Rebecca Ellithorp and husband Brian Ellithorp of Edmond, OK; sister Teri Fieselman of Wellston, OK; brother James Lee Murphy Jr. of Wellston, OK; and many nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 13th from 10:00 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Lehman Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, April 14th at 2:00 p.m. in the Lehman Funeral Home chapel, with interment following in Wellston Cemetery.

Arrangements are under the direction of Lehman Funeral Home of Wellston.
