January 25, 1957 ~ September 19, 2023

Rickie Gene Mullendore was born January 25, 1957 in Chandler to Eugene and Freda (Stein) Mullendore. He passed away September 19, 2023 in Midwest City at the age of 66.

Rickie was a lifelong resident of Wellston where he graduated from high school with the Wellston Class of 1975 following 12 years of perfect attendance. Rickie always helped work on the family farm while working as a meat cutter since he was 16 years old. He enjoyed woodworking and remodeled several kitchen's cabinets. He also liked riding his tractor, but his life's highlight was his marriage of 44 years to his high school sweetheart, Gerri.

Rickie retired from Wal-Mart meat department so he could be a stay-at-home foster dad. He was a foster parent since 1990 having fostered 49 young people. He was a mentor to some of the young men in his neighborhood. He took them to help on the family farm and share a meal cooked by his mother, Freda. He also enjoyed playing the role of Santa Claus for many organizations including the Oklahoma County Child Advocacy Center. He enjoyed dressing up as Santa Claus and driving his excursion while passersby waved with joy.

Rickie was preceded in death by his grandparents, Newt and Ida Mullendore, Martin and Dora Stein; father, Eugene Mullendore brothers Brian Mullendore, Darrell Mullendore; and his son, Michael Mullendore. Survivors include his wife, Gerri Mullendore of the home; children, Tony Mullendore, Vicky Patterson and her husband Matt, Samantha Powell each of Choctaw; (2) grandchildren, Macasey Patterson, Addisyn Mullendore; his beloved dog, Daisy Rose Magic; along with a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, other family and friends.

A funeral will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, September 22, 2023 at the Lehman Funeral Home Chapel with interment following in the Wellston Cemetery.
