Earnest Darrell Fent was born July 22, 1947, to Adolphus Clayton and Minnie Loraine (Bailey) Fent in Wellston, Oklahoma. He passed away August 19, 2020, in Chandler at the age of 73.
Ernie grew up in Wellston and Jones where he graduated with the class of 1965. He enjoyed deep-sea fishing and traveling. Earnest proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps for 3 years.
Ernie is preceded in death by his parents, A.C. and Minnie Fent; sister Alice Shirley; son, Thomas Fent. Survivors include his wife of nearly 50 years, Shirley (Lehrman) Fent of the home; son, Darrell Fent and wife Dede; daughter, Destiney Rasha Fent and husband Floyd all of Chandler; (4) grandchildren, Brittany, Seth, Karissa, Tylie; (3) great-grandchildren. Addilynn, Lacey, Cole; siblings, Gene Fent and wife Janet of Calvin, Bill Fent and wife Carol of Tulsa, Wanda Pruitt and husband Hank of Jones, Raymond Fent and wife Brenda of Wellston; along with other family and friends.
Visitation will be held from 10:00 to 3:00 p.m. on Friday, August 21, 2020, at the funeral home. A graveside service with military honors will be held at 10:00 Saturday, August 22, 2020, at the Wellston Cemetery under the direction of Lehman Funeral Home of Wellston.
