William David Fent (Bill) passed peacefully from this life on Sunday morning December 1, 2024. Bill was born one of six children to Adolphus and Minnie (Bailey) Fent on August 23, 1936 in Wellston, Oklahoma.
After graduating from Luther High School, he spent 2 years in the United States Army. Upon his return home, he met and married Carol Sue Eeds on July 1, 1961. They enjoyed 59 years together and were blessed with two children. Early in their marriage, Bill felt a call to ministry and served as pastor of churches in Arkansas and Oklahoma for many years.
He was preceded in death by his parents Adolphus and Minnie Fent; sisters, Alice Fent Shirley and husband Jack and brothers, Gene and Ernest Fent. Leaving to cherish his memory are his children Kenneth Fent and wife Amy of Missouri and Sherri Hutchison and husband Terry of Florida; four grandchildren; Angel Skyles and husband Joe, Caleb Fent and wife Raeshel, Courtney Hutchison and Cody Hutchison and wife Arriel; six great grandchildren, Maggie Mckee, Silas McKee, Jayce Skyles, Casen Fent, Allisen Fent, Chloe Hutchison, Nathan Hutchison and Brice Hutchison; sister Wanda Fent Pruitt and husband Hank and brother Raymond Fent and wife Brenda; two sisters-in-law; Janet Fent and Shirley Fent along with a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
Visitation will be held from 8:00 a.m. till 2:00 p.m. Thursday, December 5, 2024, with a funeral following at 2:00 p.m. in the Lehman Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in Wellston Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Lehman Funeral Home of Wellston.
