Loretta Watkins, 79, loving wife, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister, was called to her eternal resting place on Thursday, September 7, 2017, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She entered this world on August 6, 1938, in Tecumseh, Oklahoma, born to Clarence Blanchard and Hattie Mae Lane. She married Gerald Watkins on April 19, 1963, in Agra, Oklahoma, at the First Baptist Church.
Loretta loved the Lord. She was a very kind, giving, and generous loving person. Loretta loved to cook, sew, play the piano, writing religious songs, and spending time with her family. Heaven gained a very special angel and she will be deeply missed.
Her parents, two sisters-in-law, Carol Lane, and Mary Ellen Watkins; two brothers-in-law, Gene Watkins and Gary Watkins; one niece Debbie Watkins; and one great nephew, Jerry O'Kelly preceded Loretta in death.
Survivors include, her husband of 54 years Gerald Watkins, one daughter, Gina Dardis and husband Dwane; one son, Steve Watkins and Katie Hendricks; three granddaughters, Kendra Whitfield and husband Mark, Kelsie Dardis and Mackenzie Watkins; one great-granddaughter, Declyn Watkins; one sister and brother-in-law, Betty and Robert Unfred; four brothers and sisters-in-law, Jerry Lane, Jack and Laverne Lane, Frank and Barbara Lane, and Robert Lane; many nieces & nephews, and a special nephew she helped raise, Thurston (TR) Lott; other relatives and many friends.
A graveside service will be held 10:00 AM, Monday, September 11, 2017, at the Tryon Cemetery, Tryon, Oklahoma, with Pastor Roger Lane officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Chandler, Oklahoma.
