James Edgar Huntsman

October 7, 1859 - 1912

Ed Huntsman one of our most respected former citizens, answered the great roll call last Saturday night at 9:15 in his home. Mr Huntsman had been sick most all summer of Brights disease and had only just returned from the hospital at Guthrie where he had been taking treatment, and going out home from here Saturday afternoon feeling some better, he went to bed about 9 o'clock. but had not been there 15 minutes until he was dead.

Ed was always a favorite among the boys and liked by all and always looked on the bright side of everything and about a month ago he made a profession of Christianity and was ready for the great roll call.

He leaves a wife and several children to mourn their loss.

Funeral service were conducted at the Christian Union Church by Rev. Dorrell, assisted by Bro. Frazier and Tuner, and his body laid to rest at the I.O.O.F, Cemetery.

To the family we extend our deepest sympathy as we have always counted Ed Huntsman as one of our oldest and truest friends since coming to Oklahoma. May God bless and keep you in your sorrow is the wish of editor of the Star.
