Shirley was born February 13, 1936 to Leeman and Ora Story in Lovell, OK. She grew up in Carney, OK. Where she met and later married her husband, Bill Breeden on December 31, 1951. She worked as an accountant at Western Electric, where she later retired from. Shirley was a fierce and loyal wife and a loving mother and grandmother. She loved to fish for crappie at Lake Eufaula, enjoyed watching sports especially NFL football and Tom Brady on Sundays. Shirley also liked to gamble at the casino too. A real lady always knows when it is time to leave the room, and she did just that on Saturday, January 16, 2021.
Shirley was preceded in death by her parents Leeman and Ora Story, her husband Bill Breeden, her sister Mary Ellen Watkins, and brother Leeman Story Jr.
Shirley is survived by her 2 children; daughter Elaine Sutton and husband Charles of Oklahoma City, and son Dr. Kenneth Breeden and his wife Monica of Richland, WA. Her 4 grandchildren; granddaughter Amy Flowers and husband Robert of Oklahoma City, grandson Eric Perry of Oklahoma City, granddaughter Danielle Worley of Nashville, TN, and grandson Taylor Tamblin of Las Vegas, NV. She had 9 great-grandchildren; Heather Perez and husband Aaron, Zachary Morris, Alayna Flowers, Leah, Jacob and Blakley Perry, Bryce, Noland, and Caleb. 2 great-great-grandchildren; Mackenzie and Mariah Reynolds.
Viewing will be Thursday, January 21, 2021 from 4-7 p.m. at Mercer-Adams in Bethany, OK.
A graveside service will be held Friday, January 22, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at Tryon Cemetery in Tyron, OK.
