William Allen Howard

William Allen Howard was born near Memphis, Tenn, October 26, 1873, and passed away at his home in Pryor. June 19, 1939, at the age of 62 yeas, 7 months and 23 days

His mother died when he was 18 months old and he was reared by his uncle Sam Howard, near Myrnie, Mo.

He was ubited in marriage to Miss Maggie Lance in 1897 at Many Springs, Oregon Co, Mo. To this union was born 3 sons and one daughter.

In 1909 Mr Howard and family moved to Sroud, Okla. living in that vincinty for twenty years. The past 10 years he has lived in Pryor.

In March 1913, his wife died and was buried north of Stroud in the cemetery where he will be laid to rest this afternoon.

On Augusy 18, 1920, he was united in marriage to Mrs Ollie Taylor at Vinita, Okla. She has been a faithfuk companion tp him during his long illness and also fo the past 18 years has lived to be a mother to his children.

Brother Howard was conscious until a short time before going, and testified to many that where present that he was ready to go to the place prepared for the children of God, and he also exhorted his chikdren to all be prepared for heaven.

He leaves to mourn his departure, his wife, three sons, W.O. Howard of Edmond, A.L. Howard of Henryetta, and P.A.Howard of Tulsa. His only daughter, Mre RoxieCornog of Seminole. Two step-daughters, Mrs Glessner Morgan and Miss Vera Dunham, and seven grandchildren, Carl Peterson, son of Roxie Cornog, Violet, Bud and Kenneth daughter and sons of W.O. Howard, Charles Richard and Helen Ruth, son and daughter of P.A. Howard.
