Carol Lynn Flatt Thompson

Carole Lynn Thompson passed away on Sunday, April 28, 2024.

Carole was born on Saturday, September 7, 1946 in Stigler, OK to Harry and Ruth (Snow) Flatt. She graduated Stroud High School in 1964. Carole was a former member of Beta Sigma Phi for many years. After high school, Carole went to cosmetology school and did hair for many years. She then went to work as a customer service representative for State Farm Insurance with Kent Clovis until her retirement. After her retirement, the time allowed her to focus on her favorite hobby, her family. Carole loved her family and loved to take care of them. She also loved nurturing her pets. Carole's kindness and loving nature touched many hearts and will be greatly missed.

Carole was preceded in death by her husband Johnnie L. Thompson and her parents Harry and Ruth Flatt; and her sister-in-law Margie L. Flatt.

Carole is survived by her son Billy Gosnell; her daughter Bobbi Parcell and husband Chris; her brother Donnie Flatt and wife DoraLee; her grandchildren Phillip Parcell and wife Amy, Chelsea Knoch and husband Taylor, Caitlyn Hicks and husband Brayden, and Brittany Gosnell and Quinton Poullard; her great grandchildren Dylan and Brookelynn Gosnell, Madelyn and Slaydon Knoch, Brendyn Poullard, and Harrison, Berklee, and Beckett Parcell; her special friends Carl and Dianne Barnes; she is also survived by her nieces, extended family and friends.

A funeral service will be Friday, May 3, 2024 at 10:00AM at Parks Brothers Funeral Service Chapel with burial to follow at Stroud Cemetery. There will be a visitation Thursday, May 2, 2024 from 8am to 8pm with family to receive friends from 6-8pm. Online condolences and memories may be shared by visiting www.parksbrothers.net.
