Edna Gutierrez was born on April 11, 1943 in Gilroy, California and departed this life on Wednesday, March 13, 2019, in Stroud, OK, at the age of 75.
Edna was the daughter of Olan and Beulah (Faultner) Brown. She was a resident of Stroud for the later part of her life. She was a student at Central Technology Center, Drumright, in their heavy equipment program. From there, she was hired by Sun Oil Company being their first woman pumper first in Oklahoma then Texas where she retired. She enjoyed watching old country and western movies and loved working in her flowers. Edna loved playing games with her grandchildren and attending their sports events. Edna's heart was huge always taking care of others, never asking for anything in return. She faithfully donated to charities sometimes when she needed it just as much. And she loved her cats!
Edna was preceded in death by her parents, grandparents Bill and Frances Faultner, Rath and Mary Elizabeth Brown, and one grandchild Braden Brown.
Survivors include: son Greg Brown of Stroud, sisters Judie Harris of Oklahoma City, Mary Cole and husband William of Lumberton, TX, 6 grandchildren Baylee, Kirsten, Gracesin, Madison, Maddix, and Brodie, nephews Chris and Tony, nieces Cindie and Cassie, as well as several great nephews and nieces, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, March 18th at 10:00 am at the Parks Brothers Funeral Chapel with burial will follow at Stroud Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Stroud.
