Wesley "Wes" Wayne Flatt was born in Shamrock, Oklahoma on June 3, 1932 and departed this life in Chandler, Oklahoma on Tuesday, December 5, 2017 at the age of 85 years.
Wes was a the son of Roy and Nancy Mariah (Bibee) Flatt. He was a resident of Stroud most of his life. He retired from the Oklahoma Department of Transportation where he was the road foreman. He married Wilma Whipley in Stroud on August 1, 1953. She preceded him in death December 29, 2012. He was also preceded in death by his parents, three brothers & four sisters.
Survivors include, one son, Wayne Flatt and fiancée Mandy of Stroud, one brother, Gene Flatt & wife Mary of Stroud, grandchildren, Jessica Sena, Jerrica Flatt & Jacob Herrman, Jordan Hall & Stetson, four great grandchildren, Lexie, Evan, & Henry Sena, Shaylee Herrman, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at the Parks Brothers Funeral Chapel on Friday, December 8, 2017 at 2:00 P.M. with Pastor Stephen Jeffcoat officiating. Burial will follow in the Stroud Cemetery under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Stroud.
