Myrtle Sarah (Gayman) Robinson was born July 24, 1937 in Wellston, Oklahoma to Garold “Jack” Gayman and Ova (Taylor). She passed away March 9, 2021 in Meeker at the age of 83.
Sarah grew up in Warwick and attended most of her schooling in both Warwick and Wellston. She later worked at the bakery in Chandler and was know as the bakery lady by many. Sarah enjoyed gardening, hummingbirds, windchimes, horseback riding, dogs, and chickens. She loved people in general but especially loved spending time with her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Sarah cooked Christmas dinner for over 60 family members just 2 years ago just before moving to the nursing home. She enjoyed music shared by nursing home visitors and church groups.
Sarah was preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Ova Gayman; brothers, Garold Gayman, Jr., William Gayman, George Gayman, Loyed Gayman; son, Nip Ballew; and her infant grandbaby, Arhea Hope Clark. Survivors include her husband of 48 years, Olen M. Robinson of the home; children, Jerrolean Eversole of Enid, Kip Ballew and wife Cindy of Duncan, Teresa Holland and husband Delbert of Chandler, Sherial Clark of Chandler, Olen R. Robinson of Davenport; siblings. John Gayman of North Carolina, Emma Wright of Wellston; over 60 grandchildren and great-grandchildren combined; along with other family and friends.
A funeral will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, March 12, 2021 at the Lehman Funeral Home Chapel with interment following in the Star Valley Cemetery. Reverend Doyle Seeley will officiate, and arrangements are under the direction of Lehman Funeral Home of Wellston.
