Ricky Dean Grandstaff was born June 9, 1978, in Wamego, Kansas to Terry Grandstaff and Earlene (Kerby) Craig. He passed away November 15, 2025, in Shawnee at the age of forty-seven.

Ricky attended school in Wellston where he graduated with the Senior Class of 1997. He was a proud husband, father, uncle, brother, and friend. He was a hard worker and jokester who wanted to make people smile. Ricky was a peacemaker and cared about others more than himself. He loved his family and will be missed by them every day going forward.

Ricky was preceded in death by his father, Terry Grandstaff; brother-in-law, Keith Hendrix; grandparents, Leonard and LaDora Grandstaff, Barbara and David Smith. Survivors include his wife, Chastity Scarber of the home; children, Andrew Grandstaff and wife Kenedy, Keegan Grandstaff, Kenzie Grandstaff, Kali Grandstaff, Kenna Grandstaff, Adley Grandstaff, and Nathan Sherman; two grandchildren, Easton and Weston; siblings, Michelle Hendrix, DaNell Lewis and husband Ricky, Paul Grandstaff, Crystal Grandstaff; mother, Kaye Craig; along with other family members and many friends.

A funeral will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, November 22, 2025, at the Missionary Baptist Church in Wellston with interment following in the Star Valley Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Lehman Funeral Home of Wellston.
