Jerry Dean Mullendore, 63, was born February 21, 1958 to Delbert and Dorothy (Brown) Mullendore. He passed away November 15, 2021 in his home in Wellston with his family at his side.
Jerry grew up in Wellston where he graduated from high school with the class of 1976. He promptly started his career driving a truck until he semi-retired just recently earlier this year. He enjoyed fishing, gardening and working on small engines. Together with his best friend, Ray Beasley, he could engineer anything. He grew up along side his running buddy, Melvin Smith, who he remained close to his entire life.
Jerry loved his grandchildren and would have done anything for them. He enjoyed taking his children and nieces and nephews camping. Jerry loved the outdoors, at times mowing, gardening, or chopping wood even right after a chemo treatment. He took great care of his chickens and his best friend, Rambo, his dog. His grandchildren were his shadow. Jerry will be remembered for his corny jokes even if he couldn’t remember how to deliver the punch lines. His Mullendore stubbornness and will to fight his illness bought 2 additional years with his family.
Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, Delbert and Dorothy Mullendore; wife, Paula Mullendore; brothers, Charles Mullendore, Johny Mullendore, Dennis Mullendore. Survivors include his son, Jon Paul Mullendore and Jessica; daughter, Mandee Wester and William; grandchildren, Jakob Paul Mullendore-Dossey and Justin, Preslee Wester, Wyatt Wester; sisters-in-law, Linda Mullendore, Beverly Mullendore, Karen Wiley and Andy; parents-in-law, Paul and Patricia Speer; along with a host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
Visitation will be Friday, November 19th from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Lehman Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 20th at 10 a.m. at Faith Baptist Church in Harrah with interment following in Rossville Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Lehman Funeral Home.
