John Paul Johnson

John Paul Johnson, left this earth on May 4, 2025, to be in the arms of the Lord at the age of 84. After a long and fruitful life, he passed surrounded by loved ones. John was born on January 19, 1941, in Carmen, Alfalfa County, Oklahoma. Later residing in Guthrie and later settling with his wife in Oklahoma City, Canadian County, Oklahoma.

John left home at an early age and joined the Army in 1961 to 1963. He was in the Infantry Division serving in Germany. He was a sharpshooter, receiving Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal, Army Occupation Medal and Good Conduct Medal. He worked as a Building Engineer and later as a HVAC Technician. He was an avid Coin Collector and had a love for Clint Eastwood and John Wayne.

John is preceded in death by both parents, Francis Eldon Johnson & Dorothy Bell Fox (Andy) Wells as well as his brother Dickie Lee Johnson, sister Frances Karen Razey, stepson Randall Todd Amos and grandson Raul Antonio "Bubba" Perez. John had 84 years of love & friendship; he is survived by a great number of people to keep his memory alive.

He is lovingly remembered by his devoted wife of 42 years, Lois Corene Peace Johnson, his stepchildren Karen (Virgil) Woods, Donna Johnson and Ray "Junior" (Trisha) Luna. His son John Paul Johnson Jr. His former wife Sandra Wooldridge Beaver and their children Brandy Sue (Justin) Richards and Chad Anthony Johnson and stepchildren Whitney Hollingsworth, Wendy (Fred) Vermillion, Tiffany (Ronald) Heathcott. His sister Vickie Sue (Richard) Clark. He is also remembered by his grandchildren Dwayne, Laura, Robert, Ronnie, Brittany, Wyatt, Ashley, Amanda, Adam, Cory, Kaylee, Sarah, Stephanie, Erika, Boston, Alexis, Maddie, Selena, Sophia, Kaei and Jackson. John leaves behind 31 great grandchildren and with his ever-growing immediate family & his many nieces and nephews, cousins and a host of friends.

A graveside memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm Saturday, May 10, 2025 at Rossville Cemetery located on E. 990 Rd, Meeker, OK 74855. Arrangements are under the direction of Lehman Funeral Home of Wellston.
