September 17, 1938 ~ August 25, 2022

Dorothy Frances Kroos was born September 17, 1938 and departed this life on August 25, 2022, in Prague, at the age of 83.

Dorothy was the daughter of Charley and Jewell Novotny, and grew up with nine siblings. She met the love of her life, George, in Prague, and they were married in June of 1959, at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church. They were married for 52 years.

Dorothy spent her life as a homemaker, devoted and loving wife, and wonderful and caring mother. She loved taking care of her family and friends, loved cooking large meals, gardening and sewing. She loved music, dancing and singing along to songs. Because of her Czech heritage, she loved going to the Prague Czech Festival every year with her family and loved dancing all of the Czech dances. Dorothy was an excellent cook and loved making Kolaches and Klobases for her family and friends several times a year. Dorothy's Kolaches were a favorite dessert among her family and many friends. She would make dozens of Kolaches at a time, several times a year and loved sharing the Kolaches with her family and close friends. You could often find Dorothy outside tending her flowerbeds and weeding and taking care of her garden. She had a green thumb and could grow anything in her garden and flower beds. She had large gardens with fresh vegetables and fruits and shared her abundant vegetables and fruits with many family members and friends.

Dorothy was a member of St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church. She attended mass with her family every week and donated pies and cakes to church functions for many years as an active member. She also cooked for several neighbors in need when they were ill and unable to cook for themselves.

Dorothy was a devoted wife, mother, friend and will be missed dearly by her family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, George; brothers and sisters, Betty Ann, Jane, John, Jim, Charlie, Charlene and her parents, Charley and Jewell.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Terry and Kelly Kroos of Prague; son, Thomas Kroos of Moore; daughter, Joy Fesler of Prague; daughter and son-in-law, Gay and Rob Malacane of Moore; daughter and son-in-law, Bonnie and Charles Imhoff of Prague; twelve grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren; sisters, Louise Wilkerson of Meeker, Jean Quary of Shawnee; sister and brother-in-law, Nancy and Tony Cagle of Shawnee; brother, Don Novotny of Seminole; brother and sister-in-law, Frank and Doris Novotny of Meeker.
