Edith "Aileen" Elaine Pretka Jordan

Edith Elaine “Aileen” Jordan, of Prague, Oklahoma, passed away on October 18, 2020 at the age of 82. Aileen was born on March 14, 1938 in Prague, Oklahoma. She was the daughter of Jerome and Christina (Studler) Pratka. Aileen attended Prague Schools and was a life long resident of Prague. She took great pride in her hometown and the Czech heritage she shared with Prague. She loved to attend the annual Kolache Festival. She was an excellent Kolache baker and could sing her favorite polkas from memory.

Aileen married Vernie Melvin Jordan on October 26, 1957 and the two were happily married until his death on July 25, 2014. The two had four children, nine grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren. Aileen dedicated her life to being a homemaker. She was a great wife, mother and grandmother. She always had something delicious baking and you never left her home hungry. Everyone especially enjoyed her kolaches, strawberry cake at easter and her Christmas candies.

Aileen was preceded in death by her loving husband of 56 years. Vernie Melvin Jordan; her parents; one daughter, Verna Jean Friend and two brothers, Henry Pratka and Johnny Pratka and one sister Mary Brezny.

She is survived by two sons, Michael Jordan and his wife June of Choctaw and Mark Jordan and his wife Dana of Prague; one daughter, Mary and her husband Charles of Prague; sister, Lillie Bartos of Prague, Agnes Pratka of Prague, Geraldine Harper of Prague and Rosalie Navrath and her husband Joe of Prague and one brother Steve Pratka and his wife Pam; nine grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren and host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.

A Funeral Service is scheduled for Wednesday, October 21, 2020 at 10:00 AM and will be held at the Parks Brothers Funeral Chapel in Prague. Burial will follow at the Prague Catholic Cemetery. The family will accept guests on Tuesday, October 20 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Prague.
