Joan Carol Thorsen was born in Prague, Oklahoma on November 17, 1941 and went to be with the Lord on June 2, 2018 at the age of 76 years.
Joan was the daughter of Frank and Ollie (McAdams) Fisher. She attended Prague Schools, graduating in 1959.
On March 19, 1960, Joan married Edward Harvey Thorsen in Prague. They lived in Bethany, Oklahoma for many years, with her working as a Circuit Board Tester at AT&T, where she retired in 1998. Joan and Ed then moved back to Prague where she became a member of PEO Chapter AF.
Joan loved all sports, with her favorite teams being the University of Oklahoma and the OKC Thunder. She also enjoyed traveling and spending time with her family. Joan was preceded in death by her husband Ed on April 11, 2018, as well as both of her parents.
Survivors include her son, Mike Thorsen of Oklahoma City; her daughter, Judy Stack of Prague; two granddaughters, Natalie and Amanda Stack; a sister and brother-in-law, Donna and Roy Prevett of Prague, and numerous other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be at 10:00 A.M. on Wednesday, June 6, 2018 at the First Baptist Church in Prague. Burial will follow at the Prague Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Prague.
