Prague resident, Ethel Kathryn Riddle, passed away Saturday, October 24, 2020, at Prague Community Hospital, at the age of 97. She was born May 12, 1923, in Blanchard, Oklahoma to William Oscar and Ella Magdalina (Bell) Chambers. Kathryn grew up and attended school in Blanchard. Following graduation, she worked at Tinker Air Force Base during World War II, and Montgomery Ward in Oklahoma City.

Kathryn married Elmo Loftis and together they moved to a farm north of Prague. After his passing, she was employed by Oklahoma Public Employees Services as a clerical secretary and retired from there.

She met Elbert H. Riddle at the Church of Christ in Prague, and they were married on December 26, 1975.

Kathryn loved to cook and enjoyed tending to her flowers. She lovingly cared for the beds in front of the church building and filled them with beautiful flowers.

She was a very generous and caring person, always neat and proper, and loved her puppy Skeeter, who was always by her side or sitting on her lap.

Kathryn was a dedicated member of the Prague Church of Christ and loved her church family. When her health made it unable to attend services, she continued to ask about each and every member to learn how they were doing. They all loved her too and she will be greatly missed.

Kathryn was preceded in death by her parents, four sisters, and a stepson, Timothy Wayne Riddle.

She is survived by her loving husband of 44 years, Elbert Howard Riddle. One stepson, Denton Howard Riddle and wife Michelle of Yukon, Oklahoma. One brother, Jim Chambers of Blanchard, Oklahoma, and many nieces, nephews, family, and friends.

Viewing will be held at Parks Brothers Funeral Chapel, Wednesday, October 28, 2020, with visitation from 1:00 – 3:00 pm. A private family service at the chapel and burial at Prague Cemetery will follow conducted by Bro. Palmer Smith, Prague Church of Christ.

Services are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service of Prague.
