Bruce Edward Pfeiff

Bruce Edward Pfeiff, of Prague, Oklahoma passed away November 15, 2021. He was born February 14, 1945 in Burlington, Iowa, to Dale Henry and Cordelia J. (Ibbotson) Pfeiff. He grew up on the family farm near Burlington. After graduating from high school at Mediapolis, Iowa, he obtained a B.S. in Animal Science from Northeast Missouri State College, Kirksville, Missouri. He was a former member of the Iowa National Guard. He married Vicki Pilling on September 2, 1967, and they recently celebrated their 54th anniversary.

He started his career in the agricultural field by working on and managing registered cattle ranches in Missouri, Iowa and Oklahoma. He came to the Shawnee area in 1983 to manage the B&L Angus Ranch. In 1988 he went into feed sales and later managed the S&S Farm Center in Shawnee, retiring in 2010.

In retirement he enjoyed taking care of his yard and puttering in his shop. His grandchildren were the center of his life, and he thoroughly enjoyed showing his support at their various activities.

He is survived by his wife, Vicki of Prague, OK; son Bryan Pfeiff and wife Camille, of Shawnee, OK; daughter Carrie Hogue and husband Adam of Prague, OK; grandchildren Ben Pfeiff, Isabella Pfeiff, Britten Himle and Addison Hogue; mother-in-law Leota Pilling of Mediapolis, Iowa; sister-in-law Patti Myers of Sperry, Iowa; and brother-in-law Ron Pilling of New London, Iowa; nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers.

Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 p.m. on Friday, November 19 at Parks Brothers Funeral Service of Prague.

There will be a private graveside service. His final resting place will be at the Prague Cemetery, Prague, Oklahoma.

A Celebration of Life will be held in Iowa at a location and date to be announced later.

Memorials can be made to the Prague First Baptist Church, Prague, Oklahoma, attention Children Ministries.
