February 21, 1957 ~ November 10, 2021

Debra Elaine (Morelock) Patterson, a life-long resident of Prague, Oklahoma, passed away on November 10, 2021, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma at the age of 64.

Debra was born on February 21, 1957, in Prague to Donald Carl and Aletha Aline (Davidson) Morelock. She grew up and attended school in Prague and was a part of the Prague High School class of 1975.

On September 29, 1979, Debra married Daniel Patterson at the First Baptist Church in Prague.

Debra furthered her education by graduating from the nursing program at Gordon Cooper Technology Center in 1991, and then from Seminole State College in 2009. She worked as an LPN and RN throughout her career in home health, with the Prague Municipal Hospital, and for the Department of Corrections at John H. Lilly in Boley, Oklahoma.

When Debra wasn’t serving her community as a nurse, she enjoyed growing flowers, especially roses, and tending to her plants. She was an avid birdwatcher. She made sure her birdfeeders were always full so she could tend to the Cardinals, Blue Birds and Hummingbirds that flew her way. Most importantly, Debra loved spending time with her two grandchildren. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, with that love and devotion even extending to her two fur babies, “Baby Girl” and “Tiny”.

Debra was preceded in death by her parents, Donald and Aline Morelock; her brothers, Jeff Morelock, and Gary Morelock; a brother-in-law, Steve Mayfield; and a great-niece, Harper Morelock.

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband of 42 years, Daniel Patterson; her son Chris Cernocky and his wife, Melinda Cernocky; grandchildren, Ryan Cernocky and Riley Cernocky; niece, Maranda Cody, and her husband Johnny Cody, and their daughter, Kimber Cody; niece, Denisha Harris and her husband, Shawn Harris, and their children, Landen Banta, Braylie Harris, and Athena Harris; niece, Micah Taylor, and her husband Matt Taylor, and their children, Reed Taylor and Ryder Taylor; niece, Amber Davis and her husband Clay Davis, and their sons, Connor Davis and Carson Davis; nephew Garrett Morelock and his wife, Cari Morelock, and their daughters, Kenedi Morelock, and Lexi Morelock, and their son, Brady Morelock; nephew, Kevin Mayfield; sister-in-law, Deborah Mayfield, and sister-in- law, Denise Morelock; as well as a host of other extended family members and friends.
