John Paul LuGrand

July 2, 1991 - March 17, 2021

John was born on July 2, 1991, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, to James Edward LuGrand and Billie Jean (Smith) LuGrand. He grew up in the Paden and Prague, Oklahoma areas and graduated from Prague High School in 2009. During his high school years, he played offensive line for the Prague Red Devils football team. His first job was at Ken’s Pizza in Prague where he undoubtedly met his customers with a big smile. After high school, John went on to graduate from Gordon Cooper in 2010 with a specialization in Aviation. He worked for Tinker Air Force Base for 4 years as an aircraft mechanic where he had the opportunity to work on B52 Bombers.

Lovingly known as “Big John”, John had a heart of gold and would light up any room with his big contagious smile and laugh. He immensely loved his family and friends, who were always by his side, especially his twin brother, Joseph.

John was preceded in death by his grandfather, James Smith I and his best friend and brother, Kyle Bullard.

Those left to cherish his memory are his mother Billie LuGrand; his father, James LuGrand; brothers, Wilson Snell and Joseph LuGrand; sisters, Latasha Lindsay and her husband, Jay, and Dietra Gibson and her husband, Albert, and Alisha (Adamson) LuGrand; 6 nieces; 6 nephews; special friends and brothers, Austin “Merv” Wilson, and Finch Baker; and Renee Bullard, who was like a second mom to John; as well as a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, other extended family members and friends.
